I’m Rachael Maddux, a writer and editor living in Decatur, Ga.
My essays, features and reviews have appeared in The Oxford American, The Believer, Pitchfork, The Paris Review’s Daily blog and elsewhere.
By day, I’m a writer and editor at MailChimp. In a former life, I was assistant editor of the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine, and before that I was an editor at Paste. In 2010 I was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in Reviews & Criticism. As of October 2013, I’m on a “music writing” rumspringa.
I grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn., and graduated from Oglethorpe University with a degree in Media, Rhetoric and Culture. I live in a tiny old house with a dude name Joe and a dog named Charles Darwin.
