About Me
I’m Rachael Maddux, a writer and editor living in Decatur, Ga.
My essays, features and reviews have appeared in The Oxford American, The Believer, Pitchfork, The Paris Review’s Daily blog and elsewhere.
These days I’m assistant editor of the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine. In a former life I was an associate editor at Paste, and in 2010 I was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in Reviews & Criticism.
I grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn., and graduated from Oglethorpe University with a degree in Media, Rhetoric and Culture. I’m married to a dude named Joe and I like tacos, bad movies and car rides, among many other things.
