I was just about to start work on an very definitely unranked general collection of my favorite records from 2012 but then this thing had to waltz in on me this morning and mess everything up. One more reason it’s bonkers to start thinking about this kind of thing so long before the end of the year but OK whatever this is making it hard for me to feel super crabby about anything right now. Will my love of weird folky ladies ever die? At this point I’m guessing no, though my tolerance for weird folky dudes has seriously waned recently. That’s something to think about some other time, though.
